Pundi Sumatra Managed Training And Share Learning Activity With TFCA-SUMATERA Partnership In Central Region
Pundi Sumatra managed the traning and share learning activities at the end of last July. As a facilitator for the central region of TFCA-S, Pundi Sumatra has responsibility for capacity building and learning management for TFCA-S partners. TFCA SumateraThe training which was held at the Luminor Jambi Hotel raised the theme "Data Management, Data Processing in Infographics, Releases and Learning Stories". The activity sponsored through theCommunication and Knowledge Management (CKM) division presented representatives from each partner.
In her opening speech, Dewi said that this training was very useful for partner institutions which having a lot of field data and important information to be documented and managed into knowledge.

"Hopefully data and information are not only just for reporting purposes, but those can be presented in various forms of communication media which able to be used as publication material,"he said in his remarks on Wednesday (27/7). This activity is expected to increase the ability of TFCA-S partners in data and information management, so that existing data can be properlydirected easily accessible for internal purposes, can be processed for external needs, and can be easily understood by the public because it is presented more simply yet effective and informative.
The training, which was held from 27-29 July 2022, presented TFCA-S partners working in the central Sumatra region, namely Sintas Indonesia, Bird Indonesia, UGM, Rimba Satwa Foundation (RSF), Indonesian Conservation Society (ICS) and Wahana Independent Partners (WMM).

Thus, the participants were provided with infomation on data management management from the resource person during three consecutive days. On the first day, the training divided into two sessions. The first session fullfilled with discussion among partners which led by Riya Dharma as the training facilitator. Whereas participants were asked to present the mechanism of data processing that usually carried out by each institution. As a result discussion, it was found out most of partner institution have used thecloud fromGoogle Drive as a location to store the field data.
""Each project or activity has its own folder based on the name and year of activity," explainedQisthi from Sintas Indonesia. Same opinion also expressed by participants. Only few things were different namely the structure of in charge staff which management the data.
While in the discussion process, Damsir Chaniago mentioned about seven capabilities of data management should be possessed namely updating,sorting, analyzing, sharing data,communication, publishing or information, and wisdom or change. "The final goal which expected is creating the collaboration and integrated synergy. Anyway, the most important thing that data is a form of accountability for activities,"” ujar Damsir selaku Asisten Koordinator TFCA Sumatera Bagian Tengah
The second session presented Heriyadi Asyari as a graphic design professional. The training process was presented in the form of a coaching clinic clinic whereas the resource person provided a brief guidance to each participant individually which aimed at mastering the knowledge. After coaching clinic session, participants were requested to make a review for the results undertaking of several info graphics which done by partners.
On the second day of the training, Pundi Sumatra presented Elviza Diana from Mongabay. In her presentation, Elvi explained about the twenty three tips in writing a learning story. According to her, learning story is a text containing the real data or facts narrated in a story. Besides, it is able to convey appropriate information. After delivering her presentation, participants were asked to practice directly on how to process the data into a learning story.
On the last day of the training, participants were equipped with the materials on techniques for writing releases or news. This last class presented Suang Sitanggang, a Tribun Jambi journalist. According to Suang it’s not necessary to write like a journalist. But, the most important thing was that news content should be fullfilled with all informative facts. “Colleagues must share the written news releases to mass media in order to publish widely,"said Suang during the training.
Same with the second day, Suang presented the training materials in a coaching clinic. Each participant was required to write a release then be reviewed at the end of program. So, from the training activities that have been carried out, it was found out that each participant has been able finally to produce three types of communication media, namely info graphics, learning stories, and news releases.
However, this activity also facilitated standing a chance to meet with partners in the central region. So through this usefull activity, on the fourth day Pundi Sumatra held a of Share Learning agenda session carried out in a hybrid manner.By sharing knowledge among partners about the efforts to mitigate animal in central region, each partner was requested to present their activities, problems and strategies in handling the animal conflicts. of Share Learning agenda by Riko Kurniawan which divided into two sessions, whereas the first session started by partners working on tiger conservation issues such as PKHS, Indonesian Conservation Society (ICS), Sintas Indonesia and Wahana Mitra Mandiri (WMM). Meanwhile, the second session was filled with partners engaged in elephant wildlife conservation activities, namely Burung Indonesia, RSF, and UGM partners.

Therefore, the purpose of Share Learning agenda is to facilitate discussion forum and sharing experience about strategy, method, challenge and progress in saving animal which carried out by each partner.
